Default Need help with engine removal

So I am currently in the middle of my own project with my 1997 Monte Carlo LS and I am trying to remove the engine but leave the transmission where it is now so I can figure some things out before I go through with what I’ve planned. I believe I got every transmission bell housing bolt off and my torque converter is isolated from the flex plate but I can’t seem to get the engine off of the transmission. Is there a possibility that I missed an outside bolt or did all the years of dirt and grime practically weld the bell housing to the engine. If anyone could point me in the right direction I would greatly appreciate it.

TBH its hard to say for sure if you got them all without being able to look in person to confirm.

If its refusing to separate, I'd chuck a few bolts back in and pull them together. Then you can separate them on the ground and drop the trans back in for whatever else you needed to do to it inside the car.

I guess I can try and take one more look around for any bolts I missed and if I can’t find anything then I’ll go ahead and pull both of them out.

I've always just pulled the engine and transmission together, then separate them out of the car. More room to work, that's for sure. Do keep in mind that the axles need to come out to pull the transmission too.
