Default need help with certificate

I am looking to possibly purchase a 2004 Dale Earnhardt, Jr.. edition and the owner does not have the certificate. This has kind of steered me away from buying it but it could be a good deal, only if I can get the certificate. Can someone tell me if I can get a replacement, where, and how? Greatly appreicated. This would be our 5 Monte, kind of excited but don't want to buy this car if I can't have the certificate.

I know if you contact Chevy customer service they can get you what number yours is but i dont think they give you a new certificate or anything.... not 100% sure on that. I know there is an email address floating around here somewhere that someone got a hold of them though too

thanks for your help, this has been a real learning experience. Not sure that I am going to go thru with this, I would rather spend a few more dollars and own something that I can make complete. Thanks guys

If the price is right I'd say buy it with or without the certificate.
