Default Monte Carlo z34 95'

Hey wassup everyone i been looking on the internet for help with my 96 z34 and i came across an ad for someone looking to sell a 95 z34 for 800. I know it sounds kinda off but the car has about 165,000 miles on it but the engine and transmission have both been rebuilt from what the owner is telling me. He told me that it has a problem with the break lights coming on as they dont light up when you press on the brakes. No major body problems that he is telling me about i will have to check it out wen i go and look at the car. My question to your guys is do you think it is a good buy for only about 800 but he told me he is willing to take my best offer. All other input would be appreciated!

Offer him 500 bucks. I wouldnt pay any more for it honestly. Not with that many miles.

the brakelights would be the turn signal swich more than likely. if the 3rd brakelight works and the others dont, and the turn signal lever does not lock into position properly than thats it.. sounds like an ok buy, im with matt, offer him $500, and i would not go more than $650. both of the monte's i have supposidly have "new engines", even though its obvious that nothing has been touched on eather of em. its still an OK buy, im just saying, buyer beware, dang near EVERYTHING has a new engine, lol.
