Default Monte Carlo SS hesitating

Hi,
I have a 2002 Monte Carlo SS with 70,000 miles, its starting to hesitate when I start from a stop and it shifts through the gears, could it be the plugs or wires ?
changed the inline fuel filter about 1000 miles ago.

Thanks
Kobbe

A plugged cat is also a common problem. Does it feel bogged down and like its having trouble shift in out of first? I believe the 2000-2001 had a batch of bad cats in the mix from the factory. Check underneath after a long drive to see if the cat is glowing red, this indicates a failure.

Swapping your plugs is a good idea. I would also clean the MAS and TPS. Maybe put in a bottle or 2 of Fuel Injector Cleaner!!!!!

Plugs and wires are a good place to start.
