Default Monte Carlo P1441,0446 & 0301

I am helping a friend of mine with her car. 2003 Monte Carlo. She had a co-worker check the codes. I looked them up and told her I would come help her, but when I got to her work I heard a terrible ticking noise that sounded like lifters or push rods or something. I am not an auto mechanic, but I can change my oil, replace starters, alternators, etc. easy stuff only. So I told her the bad news. but I was wondering if it were possible for an EVAP problem to cause a cylinder #1 misfire and consequently a bent push rod? It would be easy enough to change out the purge solenoid, but I don't think I can do anything about the noise. I need to tell her tomorrow what we are going to do. Any help would be greatly appreciated. We're just Nurses!
