Loud Jack Hammer Sound Behind Glove Box 2007 Monte Carlo LT
I have a 2007 Monte Carlo LT. The other day I started my car and I heard a very loud noise which sounded like it was behind the glove box. It sounds like a little jack hammer. It eventually stopped. It seems to come and go if I make changes to the AC settings. Has anyone experienced this problem? If so, is there any easy way to fix it?

Someone can chime in and correct me if I'm wrong, but my dad has a trailblazer LT and he had the SAME problem with his suv. His problem turned out to be the fan motor is located there and was causing the sound.
I agree. the fan motor is located right there by the glove box ...worth checking out
