Default List of issues

Hello all, I have compiled a list of stuff that is wrong with my 2001 Monte Carlo SS. Please take a look and let me know what you guys think. I will be taking it to the dealer this week to get all/most of it fixed. Any information on these problems would be fantastic.

1.) Car turns off randomly, on the freeway or while stopping
2.) revs drop when stoping and even sometimes on freeway but quickly recovered
3.) Car keeps saying low coolant, I refill often
4.) remote no longer works
5.) every month or so the check engine light turns on but then turns off randomly
6.) sometimes traction control turns on when accelerating too fast

1.) Could be several things. Does it sputter or just die abruptly?
2.) So it sputters, but you can keep it from stalling?
3.) Is it leaking coolant? If you find no drips under the car when you park, then you've likely got a gasket failure. Lower intake gasket probably.
4.) The remote to unlock the doors?
5.) Go to Autozone next time you have the light on. They can scan it and tell you what code is being triggered.
6.) Is it on a rocky road, or wet road?

Just took it to the dealer ...

1.) Dies abruptly
2.) Cant keep it from stalling, it just happens out of now where. However, sometime the revs drop but quickly recover.
3.) Cant really see a leak, but I know for sure its not from the radiator.
4.) Yes the remote to unlock the doors
5.) Autozone no longer does that
6.) Dry, hot socal road

Thanks

1 & 2, could easily be something easy like a MAF sensor

3, I would also suspect a LIM Gasket failure, and a big bill if you dont' do that yourself.

4, could just be a dead battery, but that's nothing if number 3 is the LIM

5, CA is odd :P

6, could just be some wiring / connectors for the wheel hub going bad

1&2) sound like it could be the crank position sensor, that could also be the cause for 5) your random check engine light.

3) Definitely sounds like a leaking LIM gasket ($850+ to fix at dealer)

4) could be the battery, or one of the tiny wires in the remote broke at the solder, and just needs to be resolder on. Open the remote up, replace battery, and inspect all the little connections on the "chip" thing.

5) Mentioned above, probably related to 1&2...

6) Traction control should pop on if you are accelerating to fast (if you are breaking the tires loose even a little, it should come on).

Everything everyone has said seems pretty spot on but this little bit made me smile.

That's the purpose of it, and also why there's a button to disable it .

All sorts of sensors went bad. I don't have the details now but I can post it later on when I have the receipt. Unfortunately, I spent a **** load on repairs.
