I kinda like the style of the cowl hood. Just a matter of opinion. It could help free up some hood clearance if needed. Who wants to be the first person to put the Holley double four barrel intake for LSX motors on an ls4 hahahahaha.

You mean the ram air hood? This is why I mixed up the two. There is no cowl available; a cowl induction hood does not have an opening on the front of the hood. The MPD ram air hood has optional openings at the cowl but they're to exhaust hot air, not intake cool air.

Yeah I know there isn't a cowl hood available for our cars I just like the look of cowl hoods in general. Some people like them some don't. I personally am not a big fan of ram air hood except for the ones on the WS6's. Sorry for the mix up!

I like a few of the ram air hoods available for the 6th Gen. I don't care for the MPD hood for the 7th Gen though, which, as far as I know, is the only hood available for the 7th... mostly because I've never been a fan of the point the upper portion comes to; IMO it's too much and just makes it look overdone.

not a fan of the mpd hood. there 6th gen hood is nice. if someone made a cowl for the 7th id be in. it would most definitely help people that want to run the truck intake on the ls4 since it sticks out of the car by a couple of inches. also im sure making it functional wouldnt be overly difficult.

just because you are fuel injected and not carburated dont mean a thing IMO. its all in what you like, and further more if you have a sealed hood vs a functional cowl hood i guarantee the cowl hood will lower under the hood temps so there is a benefit.

i built a custom 1 of a kind cowl hood for turbo monte, was not cheap but i love it!!

I really like your cowl hood turbo monte. I looked at your build thread awhile ago and it looks like a lot of work and time and it gives your car a really aggressive look IMO.

If enough people were in interested I could contact mpd1 again about a group buy on a cowl hood. I like mpd1 because I heard there build quality is great. Could anybody photoshop some to see what it would look like. When I was thinking about having them build a custom one the first time they asked me to send them pictures of what style cowls I liked.
