Ok long story short. I want to add some customization to my monte. And the section i want is with the fog light button. Now there are 4 wires. 1 black/white stripe, 1 gray, 1 purple, and 1 orange. Now my question is... what wires do what? I know the button is illuminated, thats fine. I want it to stay illuminated when it needs to. But which of the wires is strictly for the lights. I've tries purple and orange... nope

 

That switch really isn't a switch, as it doesn't directly power the fogs. Instead it signals the BCM to power them on or off using the orange wire. Since the LS didn't come with factory fogs or a BCM that supports them, I ended up using a rocker switch that's powered by the park light side of the headlight switch to power my fogs, but I also spliced into the factory switch for both the illumination of the switch (gray) when all the lights are on, and the fog light on indicator when the fogs are on (purple). The black/white is ground.
