Default i noticed some thing on the original air box

you know how the original air box has a rediculas small hole in the front where you think how is it getting enough air. well i got a junk yard air box from a impalla with the same engine. i made that hole a whole lot bigger just to see what will hapen as in will it work till i get a cold air intake. it does k&n drop in filter and a big hole in the front it helped out breathing but i hope i can get the money for the cold air one

wow. that was hard to read.

last time i took out my air box i noticed the same thing. i removed that stupid plastic thing inside thats held on with some screws. debating if i wanna hack up the inside of the box so the air hits all of the filter and not just around the hole.

can you hear it sucking in more air? i wanna be able to hear my supercharger whine more

just get a CAI instead of tearing up a stock airbox. you can make your own airbox and sell the stock on ebay and come out just about even as opposed to hacking it up, potentially losing its function all together, plus, k&n filters are expensive, so you will come close as far as price goes.

Opening up your stock air box is considered a free mod, but doesn't really do as much.
