Default i have noticed some thing about

the 7th gen is pretty quick when it has a few things done to it like changing the intake and doing the exaughst. but a while back i helped my neighbor teir open his engine and rebuilt the top end it is a 7th gen as well but his has 140k on it it was his dd for awhile. he drove it every where. it is in the same time frame how i found out about the head gasket recall. he wanted to do a port and pollish and put in the best valve guid gaskets. he finnally got the cold air intake from the cold air inductions. all the work that he did to it port and polish the heads and the intake manifold. it is pretty quick for a 3.5 v6 i think it is quicker now after all the polishings and the better intake and exaughst. it is quicker than mine from the git go as in tap the throttle it pushes me back fast and hearing the suction from the intake was sexy
