I get a weird tapping when i brake... how to disable abs and traction permanently?
So, I went through a big huge puddle awhile ago as part of my better judgement. I had water in my speed sensors and some other stuff. It was bad to the point where my traction and abs would magically kick in when they didn't need to.
Anyway, i got the water out, and now I don't have any issues with traction or abs kicking in. But ever since, when I start to brake I hear what sounds like metal tapping and my car brakes a little rougher if that makes sense.. Its quite annoying.
I'm convinced the tapping noise has something to do with abs and/or traction. Though, when i turn off my traction, it still makes the noise.
It should also be noted that I don't hear the tapping when I shift into neutral and then brake. So I typically do that.
Anyway, I don't really care about having abs or traction. Is there a way to permently disable them without having the idiot lights pop on and chimes everytime I start the car? I pulled the fuses, but then the lights popped on. What else can I do?
Thanks!
