Default Huge power steering leak-- 1 quart, 15 minutes

Hello to all.
Recently acquired a 2000 Monte LS.
About two weeks ago, had the classic low fluid pump whine. Topped off reservoir, all was well.
From there, it got progressively worse, to the point that I had to top off reservoir before a 45 minute drive, and again after. Wednesday it became so bad I had to stop twice on my 30 minute drive home from work and top it off.
However, during this time the reservoir never got below half full...It would get to halfway, and then I had the hard steering and pump whine.

Today, I had the pump and the pressure line replaced.
Filled up with PS fluid and drove for about 15 minutes, hard steering returned with a vengeance.
I parked the car, started it, and looked underneath. My fluid was pouring out- a very steady stream, and today it ALL drained out, when before it only got down to half way.
The leak was about in the middle of the car, running over a silver metal bar shaped item.

I would greatly appreciate any guidance offered...could it be my return line? Im not sure if a return line could spring such a massive leak or not.
Thanks for any help!

Need to get under the car and see where it's actually leaking from, could be any of the lines, the reservoir, the pump, but sounds like the rack itself for where it's leaking from.
