Default How is this possible?

2001 SS

OK so the passenger headlight is wigging out. The bulb works for the turn signal but NOT for the running light? How is this possible? I mean if the bulb was bad it wouldn't work for either one? If it was the socket or wiring...again how it would work for one but not the other? Anyone else ever experience this? I don't even know where to begin to troubleshoot this?

The same bulb may be supplied from two different circuits. I had a similar problem with mine recently and had a hell of a time getting everything to function properly. I could see green corrosion in the connections and it took many baths with electrical cleaner and electrical grease to restore a good connection to get all of the circuits back to good.

A simple 12V lighted circuit tester proved to be invaluable in my trouble shooting. $6 at your local parts house.

Ah OK thank you sir. I will check the connection at the socket.
