Hi `Tadd, I would not believe everything the `Deuce says or your Maintenance Manual What ?

I think GM may have printed that so that owners would have to bring their vehicles in for repair when they break down because of a faulty cooling system & charge you thousands of $'s 2 repair What, GM would lie

I think `if I had your Deuce I would have your anti freeze checked & if it does not meet the standard, to change it..

I've seen to many newer cars have cooling problems, but that's in Florida, but I think with all your changing weather it would be a good investment...That' just my opinion, but I hope you look in2 it & make `up your own mind...It's your time & $'s 4-Sure...I'm learning that it does pay to be safe, then sorry when it comes to a Super S.S. like yours...

That's `all My head is empty again lol

It gets gross quickly, and if you put it out of sight, out of mind without regularly making sure it is still pink/red/orange and not brown and sludge, you will have problems.

Chi, it's still pink like pink lemonaide. But you guys got me thinking yesterday. I broke out the Deuce's manual and see Iam 20K over due for a tranie flush and new tranie filter. Will ge that done when i get back from the Nats.

I can't seem to find my manual saved on my computer and I want to do this soon so my question is how many gallons of antifreeze should I get. Straight antifreeze no premix stuff.

I would be afraid of damaging my hose if I used a hooker...

P.S. I took a chance, while at work, and clicked that link.

I change my coolant every 25-30K, as well as my tranny fluid. I usually do them at the same time...

It might be a bit overboard, but i've seen Dex-Cool turn to jello before...and these trannies are not the best in the world, so if coolant and tranny fluid pro-longs the life of my Monte, then I am more than willing to change it. So far, 163K on a 4T65-E...that's pretty damn good, and counting.

Like Michael, I usually do both coolant and tranny service at about 30K. I flush the radiator, but simply drain the tranny fluid and replace the filter.
