I check the belts, hoses and brakes every oil change. The filters I usually check then and change as needed. Tire pressure I check a few times a month and the spare every 6 months or so. As for the underwear my wife likes me to change them daily.

It's sad when I see nice cars that are neglected...
To me it really pays big time to maintain your vehicles...Just not for the dollars a person saves, but for just having a safe reliable ride...

I check belts, hoses (along with all underhood fluids) and brakes at every oil change. Tire pressure gets checked on a weekly basis. Even though the car has idiot lights to tell me when a bulb is burnt out I still check them on a weekly basis out of habit. My air filter is reusable and gets checked/cleaned every other oil change. Door hinges get cleaned/lubed and lock mechanisms get lubed every 6 months. Underwear gets changed on a daily basis. :p

 

Every oil change (5000km with synthetic) I check tires, belt, front end, brakes, rust proof with spray cans of rust inhibiting oil, clean my MAF, grease the front end, check bulbs, clean the glass inside and out, and check all my fluids and fill up the washer fluid.
I don't mean to brag but I'll put money down that my car is one of the best maintained montes ever. The hoses I check from the outside with the squeeze test but I'm not worried about them. Keeping the coolant at a proper ph level makes the hoses, rad, heater core, etc from going bad ever.
As for underwear....what underwear :P

 

I actually changed my hoses & belts when i put my new radiator in, filters every 10k i clean em, brakes are new & i check my air weekly or so & underware yearly jk
