Default riveting

Yes they are rivetted on.take a small scribe or skinny hole punch and hammer out the center pin in the rivet.use a 1/4 drill bit and drill most of the rivet head off.being carefully to not fully drill through the rivet.then use a skinny flat stiff scraper and hammer the rivet head off.repeat as necessary and then remove part.

Here's a question.... Re-attaching.... Does it require using rivets? Or is there spacing to allow shallow bolts?

Default quick question for everyone

Hello everyone,

Im new to this site as i am a new monte carlo owner, had for about a month now and love it,
only one thing i have been to hell and back looking for door pillars not the covers the real deal, can anyone help!!!!! i've looked on ebay and all i can find is covers there is some rust on my drivers side and its pissing me off, i would rather replace them then take them off sand them down and re-paint them so ar it looks like my only option, if anyone can give somewhere to get these it would be much appreciated,

thanks a lot

If you want OE replacements you'll need to contact your local dealer. Either that or try to find a pair in good shape at the wrecking yard.

Hey Frank,

Just saw this about the pillars and I have a 2003 that the driver side pillar is rusting/blistering. Got a quote to repaint ($150) but thought finding a good used one may be cheaper. Can you still get and how much?

Thanks, Jim
