Default How do you remove the PILLER post on the doors? see pics...

Hello, I was wondering how do you remove the piller post metal from the doors (see pics) I want to remove mine and do a Carbon Fiber wrap to them and then put them back on. I dont want to just start prying on them and bend them all to hell (ive been known to do this lol) and just want to do it right, Im sure its a simple thing that Im overlooking, But I aint claiming to be smart at all... thanks...Michael...

I know on other GM cars those pieces are sometimes have studs and are held in with nuts.
I think on the W-Bodies, they may be rivetted in (but I'm not 100% certain).

I totally agree with that being a deciding factor in doing a mod, I guess if it doesn't come off to easy, do the job with it still on the car.... Lol" or eBay has a chrome set that snaps over the ones on the car and I could carbon fiber them and them snap them onto the door.....hmmm just thought of that....Mjc

i stand corrected, that screw is for the trim on the lower part of the door, i think the pillar part that you're talking about is held on by some sort of push pin, as it wiggles but will not fully pull off

if anyone wants to know still, i have the proof that they are riveted
