I am trying to install a remote start in a 2002 Monte Carlo SS. I need to access the Ignition harness and the BCM. I cannot seem to find a way to access the Ignition harness. Can someone offer some advice?

take the dash apart. then you can take the tumblers out of the dash and have acsess to it there. the BCM is under the dash on the drivers side above the E brake mechanisim.
not fun to get to but it is there.
Aslo look for the wires under there and you will find the BCM

 

what i had to do was remove both of the covers under the steering wheel...then get in there with a rachet and and extention (im not positive but i think it was a 10mm) and then had to basically lay with my feet on the headrest...it is a hard process and took me a long time to complete...what kinda remote start are u installing? if u are using a bypass for passlock 2 make sure u soder EVERYTHING! passlock 2 works on a resistance principle and wire taps and such will add resistance and it will not b able to start
