Default HighBeam Light (2001 Monte Carlo LS)

The HighBeam Out light came on in my wifes's car the other day so I replaced the bulbs. Now, with the daytime lamps running the highbeams wont come on when you pull back on the turn signal stalk but only will come on when you pull the **** back for the Lowbeam/Parking lamps and the HighBeam Out light still comes on occasionally.

Any input would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks
Jason

Thanks for the welcome Space

I got the bulbs from Walmart, Sylvania Xtravision 9005. There was no corrosion but I did go ahead and clean them anyway. We never had any problems previously with the light till the other day when the HIGHBEAM OUT light came on. The car has 112,000 miles on it.

Hi `Jason,
Check the below link to explore the problems of a 2001 Chevy Impala with similar headlight problems..

Then keep checking your thread to see what our expert member's in this area post to help you...Good Luck
there were several possibilities: broken wire, loose ground connection at left side of dash, blown fuse, faulty headlamp relay, faulty dimmer switch and faulty body control computer. The dimmer switch however was the one point were most things could be checked.

You know the high beams are the daytime running lights right?
