Default HID kit burned out my wiring

Installed a HID kit yesterday, worked fine. Turned them on today, worked fine, turned them on again and my left light flickered, then turned off. Tested both kits on the right light, worked fine. Put regular bulb in the left light, nothing, not even the high beam works, but the fog and the turn signal works. Tested the left lamp on the right side, it works.

So what can I do? This pretty much ruined my weekend

Have you checked your fuses?

did you get the get the harness that runs the hids off the battery instead of the factory wiring? if not, that's why it's fried. too much juice for those little wires.

were you running a 55w hid kit? i dont feel the harnesses are necessary if your only running the 35w kits. i would also check the fuse. mine blew a fuse on one side and i didnt realize that the car had seprate fuses for the 2 seprate headlights.

update: put stock bulbs back in for now, the left light is really dim, the right is fine. I noticed high beams come on as well at night as if it were day time, so they're really dim and not blinding anyone. So I don't think my fuses are out. I've been too busy to check anything so I'm going to wake up early tomorrow and check fuses/relay. Tried to check relay the other night but it's a b***h getting to, any tips on how to get to it?

Yes it is the 55w (I got greedy). I was going to sell them but someone told me this.... http://www.ddmtuning.com/Products/HI...Wiring-Harness ....will fix my problem so I just bought it. Can anyone confirm that that will fix my problem?

sorry for the long story fellas

ALSO, I have the side terminal battery (which I hate). So when I hook up this harness to the batt., should I use the spare? terminals? I don't know of the name of the...things but I assume you all know what I'm talking about. It's not connected to the battery, but right above it. I was told this should be used to jump the car. I ask this because when I had my amp hooked up, I first had it straight to the battery, but connection to my car was very weak and I had to move the power wire to the 'spare' power terminal. Again sorry for the long post.

UPDATE

Headlight is back to normal, it was a blown fuse. What a relief.

I would still like to know if that harness I posted would solve this problem of blowing fuses and any other problems.
