OK my 2000 monte ls runs great no problems BUT at times when the gas gauge gets down to about 1/4 tank when you go to put gas in it it WILL NOT TAKE GAS ! no mater what you do ! I have goten up to 2bucks in it then drove on down the road then as it got lower I thought I'm pressing my luck so here we go again ! GAS WENT IN JUST FINE ! this has happend of an on a couple times now what could cause this ???

Either the gas station pump that you were using is bad.

Or you have a slight clog in your gas tank vent.

 

it has did it at a couple DIFFRENT stations ? the vent line how will I check it ? I'm asuming it is from the tank to the fill neck ??
