Default Help pulling battery

2005 Monte SS
I can’t get the battery out. I need to put him in storage for the winter and the battery won’t hold a charge. Need to put in a new one. I don’t have a manual but I’m told it doesn’t show anyway. Help please? Thanks! Nancy
(I’m too old to drive with one foot on the brake and one on the gas!)

The battery requires a 13 socket, extension and ratchet to remove hold down bolt, a 8mm to remove the battery cables . Depending on car you might also have to remove a brace. The battery is kinda tricky to remove as it requires some twisting to get it out and the weight doesn't help. Good luck

Default Got it

I did all of that already but I appreciate you getting back to me so quickly! It’s still not coming out. I love my Monte but I kind of miss the days where you could pull out a starter in a parking lot with just a few tools! I’m thinking the top to the relays/fuse box needs to come off. Going back out shortly. I’ll let you know how it goes! N
