Help Please

Hi, I am at the moment working on an 87 Monte Carlo. It has me stumped. Any and all input will be greatly appreciated. To start the car would barely start and run. So I fixed the fuel leak and replaced the spark plugs, plug wires, dist cap, air filter, and fuel filter. This didnâ€™t help the car much so I replaced the TPS sensor. After this the car would start and idle in park with the MAP sensor unplugged and there was good throttle response until I put the car in gear then it would barely idle and had no throttle response. I then ran the computer codes and it came back that the MAP sensor was out of range, so I replaced that. Now the car will sometimes start and idle in every gear but only have throttle response in park and other times when it starts the engine will just keep surging.
