Default HELP lights flickering/rough idle after LIM/Headers job

Last Sunday I had the LIM gaskets + valve cover gaskets changed, while at it we put in my Speed Daddy headers.
I have to say, I wasn't expecting how loud this makes my car!

Here are a few problems that came on after the job.

Check engine light came on (PO171) Which I was expecting because I bought the 02 extension for the front sensor. For a day the extension WAS resting on the headers, so I'm thinking its toast. Not really sure, why would it be on if the extension is still good, and sensor is relatively new, ?

Second, whenever I come to a stop it idles real rough.
RPM go from between 500 to 1K, it stutters like its going to stall.

Where could we have F'd up?!

Right now, i am missing the gasket for the downpipe...so I don't know if this exhaust leak is the culprit for the flickering lights/rough idle.

Plugs gapped wrong? wires put back on wrong? are there any grounds we messed up in? I'm stumped and I hate to drive it like this.

anybody with SD headers annoyed with the loudness?

thanks guys, need your expertise on this one.

I've never been annoyed with the loudness of Speed Daddys lol..

I don't think leaving out the gasket would cause a rough idle though. I had a leak down there from a clamp but it never changed the idle or flickering lights.

Hopefully someone else here has a clue where your issues may be. Just doesn't seem like any of the things you've done would cause such things. Congrats on the install though! Big thing to accomplish in my mind lol

Thanks for the response.
I had no idea that it would be so loud hehe, now i'm thinking I don't need a cat-back exhaust :P

I wonder how similar or different it sounds between your l36 and my l67...and yes, it's a big accomplishment. Haha

I will have to add the gasket sometime this week.

*edit*

The more research I do, the more I believe that the spark plugs are the issue.
I swapped over to autolites 104s, copper.
I want to drop to a 3.4 pulley, so I was going colder plugs, tstat before doing so.

Could this be the problem, the rough idle? it's only at idle, once I get moving its fine.
I don't remember how we gapped them, what is oem gap for our cars?
