Post Help with grounds on 06 SS

Good afternoon,
My 06 Monte Carlo SS won't start. It's not the battery. Everytime I try to start it, it looses power and the clock sets back to 12:00pm. I want to check my grounds. Is anyone able to tell me wear I should look??!

The car is currently parked frontward in my garage.

I would check the power in the battery and make sure that it is up above 12.4v. Also make sure that there is no loose connections or Corrosion on the cables. Then for Grounds if you look over your car there are loads of them around. Just check them that they are all connected, clean and non are broken. How old is the battery? How long has it been since you drove it last? Has it had any issues like this before? Any new hardware added to your car within the last few months?

Thanks. I bought the new battery 2 and 1/2 weeks ago. It's a GOLD battery. It's been running fine untill I went to try and start it up Sunday night. Thats when it would'nt start. Just Clicked and turned off. I have already cleaned the positive and negative and check the tightness of them. When I open the door the lights still come on. I was thinking it could be the ground or BCM. Wanted to try to check the grounds first. I have no new aftermarket parts.

Understand you have a new battery. I am just wondering if you have tested it? Issue is even a new battery can be bad. Could be a bad CELL or any number of things. Without knowing that it is fully charged it is hard to say that there is something wrong with your cars wiring.

Get in car and turn the headlights on and see how bright they are? If they are not very bright it maybe that there is a low battery.

I can't really say without more testing of the system.
