Default Help! 05 ss drls running off of low beams?!?

Hi Yesterday I installed my hids on my car. 3k fogs and 10k lows. On the last monte I owned, I had this same exact setup, and my drls wwere my high beams. Now on my 05, my drls are my low beams; my HIDs. Imaalmost certain its bad to have direct sunlight hit the hids while theyre on...Or something to that effect. How do I disable my DRLs, OR atleast get my drls to be my hi beams again?

fyi, if I flash my high beams, my highbeams DO go on, and stay on. I didnt do the wrong bulbs. and I have the correct bulbs aswell as 35w ballasts, all wired properly.

What are my options then? If I leave the switch pushed all the way in for auto beams, the drls(lows) come on. If I pull it to me once, they STAY on. another pull obv keeps on the lo beams

Since you have an 05 you might be in luck and just need to pull the relay from the under hood fuse box.

Pop the hood, open the fuse box that is located under the hood, look for the relay that is marked DRL and take it out.

Figured out a better solution. Pull the light tab on the left, next to the fog light button all the way to you, then put on high beams. At that point the highs stay on, and no power going to the bulbs. Driving with high beams on in the daylight isnt a ticketable thing in ny is it O.o

Cant see why not, whos gonna be able to tell the difference that theyre drls or not.

How is that a better solution? Turning your lights on all the time, and then putting your highs on every time you start the car?

When people drive behind me with their brights on, even in the daytime, annoys me. When highbeams are DRLs they are limited to 50% brightness
