Default Heat Issue

My heat in my MC only works when I'm driving after about 15 min & just recently my rear winshield defrosters have stopped working as well. Has anyone else had this problem & if so what do I need to do to fix it?

have you changed the thermostat and the back window defroster i would check the fuses and the wires. that hook up to the window and the baked on wires as well to see if there is no breake there

x2, sounds like your thermostat is stuck open which isn't allowing the car to warm up properly before coolant starts to flow through. I would pop a new one on there and bleed the system.

The defroster pins on the rear like to fall off on these cars. Autostores sell a repair kit for like 10 bucks

*edit* I moved your thread from the how-to section since it is for explanations of repairs and not general questions.

if you have recently worked on your cooling system, make sure you bleed the air out of the lines, my 99 3.1 is very tempramental, and has to be bled 2 or 3 times before everything works properly.
thermostat prob the cause tho... not real easy to get at, but definately a DIY project.
