Default 95 z34 blown head gasket

Ok so I'm new here but active on cz28.com for years and a huge car guy, so im not a noob.
But i have a couple questions about my monte.
I bought a 95 z34, i bought it with bad head gaskets and wondering what to do, rebuild the entire motor, replace it with another 3.4 or swap in a 3.1 or a 3.8
Can anyone tell me what i would have to change with a 3.1 or a 3.8

Did a swap in a 2001 to a s/c 3.8 but this is a bit different.
Any help would be nice.
Thanks

Actually not by much. Use a 98/99 monte Z34 harness, buy an "l67 swap harness adaptor" (just 2 simple plugs)- the only other oddball thing is you'll have to make a custom passenger side axle- use your stock outer and center shaft, and the HD inner.

Otherwise, its pretty much just like the 01. Any hoses and such you need- just buy replacements for a 98/99 monte Z34.

Default Top of engine block gasket

Trying to figure out what this gasket on the very top of the engine block is called. It is not the head gasket. It is on the factory engine block from a 1995 monte carlo Z34 3.4 liter DOHC. it is this hard plastic gasket under a metal cover right over the opening of the camshaft. The opening on the very top of the block not the opening that you would remove the camshaft through or install it back into. I really dont want to just use copper spray to replace it, but going to have to if i can't figure out where to buy a new one. Reaqlly don't want to pay arm and leg at dealer for it.
