well they guarentee it for 15,000 miles but most filters will not last that long.

a wix filter will last 15,000 miles, whether you'd want to run this oil and filter that long is up to you

the oil i use is guarenteed that long but i still change it every 5000-7000 miles just to be safe

it is known that as oil breaks down, it puts more wear and tear on gaskets. i change my oil every 4000-5000 KMs just to keep it clean... its simple, if oil is clean, it works well, keeps engines clean and leak free.

I would save your money and use conventional oil. Put the savings in a fund for an intake and head gasketrepair because by 80,000 miles you will need to one or both by then, especially in its a 3.8.

the intake and head gaskets rarely go on the 3.8's compared to the 3.4's and the 3.1's

the 3.8l engine barely has any problems with intake and head gaskets
