I'm new on here, no expert. Isn't the term "homelink" just that, garage door opener and what not?? If the fuel sending unit is going bad it would not be related to homelink, but to your fuel level gauge with the needle. MY 3 CENTS.

Welcome aboard, yes the Homelink is the overhead console that functions as a garage door opener but it also reads miles traveled, MPG instant, MPG overall, and other fuel stats. So it has to be getting those readings from somewhere? I'm not sure either of how there could be a correlation but it just seems weird that I fill this tank up and the Homelink pops on and functions for about 10 miles and then quits working.

Plus I thought I read a post on here where a dude replaced his fuel sending unit and his Homelink started functioning again. I don't know if I can find the post again I probably could if I looked hard enough.

Well if nothing else you'd have a new sending unit, sometimes even dealers can't figure everything out and just start throwing parts at it. Good luck.
