Default Fuel Pump 5psi Low

My mechanic said that my fuel pressure is about 5psi low. Is that enough to justify replacing the pump? The car likes to buck when accelerating. I had the cat converter tested and it was fine. Changed the plugs and wires a few months ago. Regular maintenance. 2002 Monte Carlo SS 100k miles.

I'd change the fuel filter first

Also pull the vacuum line off the fuel pressure regulator and see if that is wet or smells like gas

Few pressure is pretty simple on these. Either you have enough to run or you don't. If it runs pressure is not an issue. Save your money.
