ok i read the sticky about the fuel gauge but my problem is not identicle. when i am it empty i will fill the car up and it will only take 10 gallons until the pump stops indicating a full tank. the gauge will show its almost full. where is this mystery 7 gallons and any ideas tricks to see where im a

My 2000 Cadillac STS did the same thing and I lived with it untill the fuel pump went. When I replaced the fuel pump the gas gauge worked fine.
Both being a GM product this could be the problem. Unfortunatley the fuel pump in the Caddy is in the gas tank so it cost almost $500.00 to replace.
