Fuel filter replacement

Crypes! That was a tough little bugger! I'm guessing it has never been replaced. It looked like it's been there a few years [sm=icon_stickpoke.gif]

Took me a while before I could break it loose because of all the rust. It may just be me, but it seems to run a bit smoother after I replaced it.

ok how offten are they suposed to be replaced? and how offten do folks ctually do it? LOL
I have done mone once since i owned the car and it has 30k miles on it .

I believe it's every 30,000 miles. So you're doing good [sm=smiley32.gif] I think people overlook that a lot. I wouldn't doubt not replacing it will cause premature fuel pump failure considering the fuel pump has to try and pump threw a plugged filter.

kool,
still trying to figure out the miss i have in mine i just started to notice.

seems while at idel i see it the most the tach jumps and then it picks right back up. you can here it real slightly out side but not well enough to knwo why.

You said you have 30,000 miles on yours? How far does the tach jump? If you put it in drive and hold your brake and give it some gas, will it do it then too? Have you checked your plugs/wires?

yeah they are all in good shape. i went to get new wires for it but i could not affored the 250.00 euro to get them so i have been forced to wiat for a while, mom could nto figure out what i was talking about to ship them to me.
and im sure the plugs are due again now. but they claim this crazy number of miles before the first change and i have not hit it yet
