Fuel Filter - Replacement - Maintenance.
I'm getting a Workshop Manual soon. In the mean time ... I bought a replacement Fuel Filter. It's a large metal canister-type. Where is it found on the '04 Monte and is there any precautions I should observe (excluding "No Smoking") ... when I locate the Original and replace it with the new canister filter?
Shortcuts and tips appreciated.

It is located on the drivers side on the fuel rail. I've changed a few fuel filters in the last few months on different vehicles so I'm getting them mentally confused, but I believe it is in the location of the driver side door. So just look in that area for a canister on the fuel rail.
I'm too sick to get up to get my manuals.

Hope you're feeling beter soon ... Nasty being ill when you should be out buying everybody a Christmas Present.
Hey, I'm actually getting caught-up with my maintenance. As soon as I get the Tranny Flushed, Fuel Filter on and the Master Cylinder sucked-out and filled with some new brake fluid that I'll bleed through the system ... It will be time to start all over again!
All kidding aside. I'm on top of it now.
I have to unbutton the top motor mounts and rotate the mill forward this weekend to do the firewall side plugs. The Fuel Filter is going to have to wait until Spring because I do the Jacked-up on Safety Stand work out of doors ... and that aint NO Place to be right about now, in New England.
I just hope that I don't get too involved when I rotate the Engine arouint to the front to get at those hard-to-reach Sparklers on the back side.
