Evap canister location?
Has anyone had to change the evap canister? My check engine light is coming on because of some major leak. I spoke with a guy at my local auto parts store and he recommended me to change this evap thing. Can anyone explain where this part is and how can I go about changing it?
Do you mean the EVAPORATIVE EMISSION (EVAP) CANISTER ?It is located on top of the fuel tank. You would need to remove the fuel tank to replace this. That is a very exhaustive procedure. I would take the car into the dealer and see if they can diagnose the trouble codes you are getting. Maybe it's just a line that runs to the canister that is the trouble.
