Just found out that after the flood water from Sandy, my engine is totally locked up...it had the 6cyl...i was wondering what engine/trans will fit into the 86 base model without modifications...i'd like a 6 again, but if i it's easier to find an 8 that's cool too...just wanted some ideas which 8 and trans will fit in without mods...thanks guys....

 

I would guess if the flood waters were deeper than your car is tall..(meaning it was completely submurged)...I would also think all the electronics are shot as well.....

 

actually, it wasn't fully submerged...i had it on jack stands, so the water came up to the fuse box...i changed all the fuses, and all electronics works fine...thankfully...so it should hopefully only be the engine and trans....
