Default engine cutting out

when i am on the gas, the engine is fine and all but sometimes when im turning (coasting into it) or sitting at a stoplight the engine cuts out. I put it in park and it starts right back up again. I was wondering what you think this could be. I have heard it could be the fuel pump, i need to clean the jets, new battery. Just wondering what you guys think.

I would check your torque converter control solenoid. It's a chance that your car isn't coming out of overdrive when you slow down. Take it to a shop if you can and see what they say.

Whens the last time you replaced your Fuel Filter?
My car was having a stalling issue and for me it was the combination of a NEVER replaced Air Filter and the Fuel Filter.
So, I did a tune-up that took me a week and a half. Plugs, wires, fuel filter, and cabin air filter. Not that the cabin air filter would have anything to do with stalling ... it was jut on the list of things to do.

I have been having the same trouble with my 1985 Monte Carlo. I have bought a fuel filter but haven't had time to replace it. I beleive it was replaced when the engine and tranny were swapped. That was about 40,000 miles. Mine also seems to have an issue with loss of power(volt meter in dash drops as I apply my brakes) I have recently done a tune up so not worried about that. Thnx for any help.

Oh almost forgot have a really annoying belt squeal that refuses to go away. I replaced the altenator about a month ago also.
