6th Gen ('00-'05): EGR Valve

EGR Valve
My 2005 3.8 Monte has been having troubles with everything lately, the main thing is it not staying on and dying after a while of driving. Battery was replaced, starter was replaced, and alternator tests fine. We've checked every other possibility and the last two ideas that are available is the body control module and a EGR valve problem. I'm gonna be taking the body control module out this afternoon, but a friend suggested the EGR valve killing the car after going 30 mph for an extended period of time. My only problem is that I have no idea where the EGR valve is at in the engine. Where would it be located? Is there any definite characteristics of it that shows it's for sure the problem once I find it? Much appreciated if any of ya'll can help.

EGR valve is located on the drivers side of the rear valve cover. You'll see it connected by two metal pipes/tube - one going to the rear exhaust manifold and the other going under the throttle body.
I cant be of much help with diagnosis though, without some scan data of the sensors, it's hard to guess at what might be wrong.

The body control module should not have anything to do with the car dying. Is your check engine light on? Did you check if the fuel pressure regulator is leaking? The MAF sensor could be bad but that normally would throw a code.
