Default EGR system IM monitor reset

I recently cleared a DTC code out of my '03 MC with a store bought scanner, which I know resets the IM monitors to not run status. I found a good amount of material on the driving conditions to reset them and followed them, but I can't find the specific test for the only one that won't reset- the EGR monitor (All others have reset over the last week or so).
Can anyone tell me what driving conditions I have to meet to make it cycle/reset?

Try unplugging the egr, turn key to 'on' but no need to start the car and clear the code. As soon as the scanner says code erased, turn key to off. Hook egr back up and it should code should be gone, unless egr is toast. I had the egr code and even after I replaced the egr valve the code came back. I had to do the above to get it to go away.
Good luck and I hope this is what you are talking about.

I don't know if you came across this while searching for material, but it says the EGR diagnostics will be performed during the steady speed portion (#4) of the drive cycle:

General Motors Driving Cycle

Hope this helps...
