EGR Code STILL! GRRRR!
Ok hoping someone's had this issue and has an answer for me.
Throwing an EGR code, we've replaced the EGR valve and gasket, MAF, 02 sensor, pulled the EGR tubes and cleaned them out, only have 40,000 miles on the CAT.
Cleared the codes twice and after about 10 miles down the road the Friggin CEL lights up with an EGR code. What am I missing???

I'll post the code # as soon as I get it.
I do know it's defiantly EGR code tho.
The MAF was bad but never threw a code, we changed it because of the issue we were having and it straightened out that problem. But this EGR code is really driving me crazy.
The exact code is P0401 Insufficient EGR Flow Detected. It's been throwing this code since my car started acting up.
Check the connectors, sometimes those prongs can get messed up. Might not be a hard part, but the sensor that reports to the PCM giving a false reading.
I have also heard that a map sensor issue could throw a common EGR problem code.

And Thank you for your help this car had been a stresser to get straight this past 3 1/2 weeks.
Also I ment to ask what is the name of the sensor that your talking about, so if I need to replace that also I'll know what to purchase.
It's the connector to the actual EGR itself. Here's a good page about diagnostics and doing multimeter testing for the system: Part 1 -How To Test the GM EGR Valve -Buick, Chevy, Olds, Pontiac
