Default Driver Side Door Rattle - When Cold Outside

I was wondering if anyone else's Monte Carlo has a door rattle when it is cold outside. I notice that on cold days, the driver door has a rattle when hitting bumps or playing the stereo with a high level of bass. I have a 2007 model. Sounds like it comes from the inside. Only noticable on cold days on driver side.

Thanks

Have you taken your door panel off? On my car there was a bad rattle and there was a machine screw that popped off the window track and cause vibrations in the track and window.

Maybe put your window half way down and play a little with it and compare it to the passenger side.

Yeah, now that it's cold out the car's a bit noisier. I just turn the radio up!

This 2007 model does seem noisy in the colder weather. I will check the screw, but this rattle sounds like metal clunking. In this particular case, the louder radio causes the sound to occur more. Again, it is only in the cold weather. I don't hear it when it is warm out.

My 06 had a very small rattle in the driver door when certain songs with lots of bass came on. Used to annoy the crap put of me. But now that I have the sub, so the bass goes through the sub, and the speakers are set to -5 for bass, I never hear it anymore.

i hade the same problem check all your mounting screws and clips in the door some thing is loose and could cause a lot of damage like the window to breake or the regulator to break. what caused mine was loose bolts on the window regulator

It looks like the plastic panel is causing the noise toward the lower bottom, it is connected properly, but there is some wiggle room. I hold it with my hand when driving, and it appears to stop the noise. I am going to put a little spacer between it and see if that solves it.
