Hey Everyone,
Just a quick question....on my Monte, the window button usually lights up at night whenever the headlights are on...but now sometimes it does and sometimes it doesnt light up. Is there a way to replace the bulb or am I going to have to get a new switch for it?
Thanks!!

YES they do! The door lock switch and the power window switch BOTH light up so u can see it at night whenever the parking and/or headlights are on. Its just lately that my window switch sometimes lights and sometimes dont....which is real annoying for me cause if its supposed to work, then I want it to work LOL. Does anyone know how to go about fixing this on here??

ye sthey all light up. yes to fix them so they look stock you have to buy a new switch to fix them. OR you do like i did and just replace the lights with L.E.D. s in the color of your choice.
they are not to tuff. if you are going to do it with a regular bulb take the switch out of the car. open it up carefuly and get the bulb out take it to radio hacker and get one that matches it. MAKE SURE IT IS A 12 VOLT!! let them know it has to be 12VOLT . or it will not work. then you resoldier in the new light bulb and put the switch back togeather again. start start the next one and repete.
If you want to do it with a LED. make sure you ge tthe resitors needed to get them to work on a 12 Volt system. other wise they will blow . The nice part of thsi is once in and workign they will never need to bereplaced in most cases due to the nature of the LED over a light bulb.

Thanks for the reply!! I figured all the bulbs in this car were soldiered together one way or another like the speedo and the climate control lights......wonder why they were made this way lol. Ill prob just replace the switch for now and go to LED when I can. Thanks for the responses!!

they did this to make you have to pay for the parts when you need them. This makes sure that they will get biss. they havent released the parts to the after market from what i know.
Now i was also told to see if the 08 silverado pick ups switches would fit and wire in correctly IF they do you would gain auto up and down or at least down.
Other wise you can do like yor talking but it really is not to hard to get them apart
