Default Where to put jack stands?

I want to do a brake job on my 06monte... On my last car it was such a piece of crap I just tossed the tires underneath. Not a option here.
I was gonna post picture of underneath the car but the digital camera ran out of power as I was taking them....
If anyone has a picture or even a rough diagram where to put the stands that we be greatly appreciated.

If anyone has a picture of the underside I can point it out, I don't have any on hand and I'm to lazy to go find somewhere where I can get under to take a picture.

Sorry, I was home for the weekend without my computer. Anyways I've always placed mine in the front, either towards the sides like this or in the middle depending on where I need to get to. Hope it helps, I'm not sure where to go from on the sides in the second shot.
