Disable Daytime Running Lights?
#11
I have a 2005 ls. My drls are my low beams, i would imagine yours are the highs. That is most likely the problem, you would need to buy the harness to disable your drls all together.

I just cut the third wire running from my outside running light to the blinkers dual fillament running light.... as for the inner running lights, I covered up my light sensor on my dash lol so I have full control over my lights all day. Much nicer.

I like the DRL's and would not buy a car that don't have them. I think it is a very important safety feature and should be mandatory on all autos sold in the U.S. I have been looking for the replacement bulb number for my DRL's, one is burnt out, looked in Owner Manuel, guess it is either the low or high beam bulb.

sign on the instrument cluster. Unreal.

I cannot believe that no one chimed in about the use of a Tech 2 scanner. My 2003 hasn’t had the drl’s for 13 years already. Just select surveillance mode in the BCM because it’s essentially the exact same computers as the police interceptor Impalas. No cutting or modules or anything just turns them off.

What’s a tec 2 scanner and how can I rig it up to disable my drls? I mean I bent down this magical 87 pin and everything’s going haywire now. Dlrs are back on, different “this and thats” are out on the instrument cluster.
