OK, so just a heads up for anyone else who decides to do this.

DO NOT BEND PIN 87, CUT IT COMPLETELY OFF.

Initially I bent it, and it did its job, but on a 3-hour highway trip through the middle of nowhere at midnight, my automatic headlights shorted out. Fortunately I fixed the issue as soon as I could, but I was driving for a few miles before I could have a look at it.

So again, cut pin 87 completely off, don't just bend it.

/end PSA

I just gave in... I run with the hi beams on in daylight. If I ride with the super blues on it feels like im being a super show off.

You don't have HID high beams I hope, right? Since the DRLs run the highs at half power, you'll burn out your ballasts.
