He has a TS Edition ('05).

On 2005 Monte Carlos you can bend a pin (85 or 86, I think) to disable them, but retain automatic headlights. I'm not sure how exactly. I believe member ZJerry is one who did it, you could ask him. 2006 and up can be turned off by the dimmer switch just like in my Silverado.

The easiest way, however, for the 6th gen is to get this kit from BB Engineer.

Here's what I did on my 2005 Monte Carlo SS supercharged..
I cut the 87 pin off of relay , over 3 years now , auto head lights still come on when need, This is what I saw on web.. Hope this helps..

2005 Chevrolet Impala. Simply pull the DRL relay out of the fuse block under the hood and bend over pin 87. Why this works: Pins 87 and 30 are the two pins that are connected together when the relay is energized. Bending 87 over will still let the relay energize but since the pin is bent over, the DRL's don't come on. As long as the computer senses the resistance of the relay coil between the two trigger pins (85 and 86) it thinks all is OK and doesn't set any codes. If you bend over either of the trigger pins like suggested for other vehicles, the computer will display "Service Vehicle Soon" in the info center.

I have been wondering this for so long! My headlights are tinted pretty strongly, and I hate it when they ruin the effect by shining through in mid daylight. Thanks for the info!
