Becky, you don't need to change your key. However, if you did need to change the ignition cylinder someone at Advance or where ever should be able to set the tumblers to your key so you won't need to change keys.

 

Put the truck in theshop today to get the lift pump and fuel injector pump replaced (btw, diesels are NOT cheap to fix [&o]). Anyway, we got to talking to him about it the passlock issue and he said he could do it. After we get this bill behind us and if it all goes well, I may just have him do replace it, he said it would be better to get GM parts instead of Auto Zonetype place parts too. He specializes in fuel injection but does a little bit of everything because most people that have diesels also have gas and he wants to be able to satisfy all his customers needs. We'll see what happens with the truck first before he touchesMY baby, LOL.
He was explaining what you have to do to keep your same key with a new cylinder. If I'm going to pay for it all I might as well put it all in.

Ryan, I might still need pics later, but for now I'm going to plan on him doing it - unless he does horrid on the truck or it's just completely outragous priced which I doubt. Thanks.
