Default Couple Questions

Ok..First question...my rearview mirror looks like the film is melting off..i just have a circle of the tint left in the middle and when you look in it..the head lights are doubled...would i be better off just replacing the whole thing or is there an easy fix?

Second question...we justchanged the oil changed along with a new air filter...when i drove it the next day...I went to turn on the heat and there was nothing coming out from levels 1-4..but 5 works. Just wondering if that was caused by something we did while changing the air filter?

Thanks for your help!!

Theres a switch in the compressor that controls the fan speed... I can't remember what it is called. The truth is that fan only has 2 speeds... stopped and wide open. Theres a device that works as a voltage regulator of sorts taht slows the fan down.Or atleast, thats how it worked on the Ford that my parents had wehn they ahd a problem like that.... that could be broken.

The other thing is you mentioned changing the air filter.. .that tube between the air box and throttle bodies has a wire that plugs into it. I checked my filter once and accidently knocked that wire loose. For some reason, my a/c wouldn't work after that... don't aske me why. I hooked it back up and all was well. Check all the electricla connections.. it's easy to knock something lose sometimes.

this rearview mirror you are talking about. Do you have an auto-dimming mirror? if so it's leaking the electrochromatic fluid and needs to be changed asap. the whole mirror, just take it off before it ruins your interior.
