Default Coolant flush

Hi I'm curious on what you guys think about dexcool. My 2004 ss monte needs a flush and I'm wondering on whether to stick with dexcool or go to a different coolant. I've heard some bad things about the acidity of dexcool eating away at your engines internals. What do ya'll think?

Old Dex (pre-2000) was found to be corrosive. Dex has since been re-formulated (I don't recall exactly when been it was before 2000). I flush and fill with Dex in my vehicles, no issues.

Many people blame Dex for LIM gasket failure. The reason for the LIM failure is that the plastic is a horrible material. I know first hand that using old green coolant, the LIM gasket is still prone to failure.

It does not matter if it's Dex or the old green, it really needs flushed regularly.
